Despite Senator Chuck Schumer’s (D-N.Y.) denials, business magnate Elon Musk has raised the possibility that the New York senator is benefiting from government fraud.
Chuck, I’m beginning to suspect that you’re involved in the government fraud. No way; it can’t be the cause, can it?” Musk made a post upon waking up on Tuesday.
The comment was made by Musk in reaction to a Monday post by Schumer, who had accused DOGE of “sabotaging” Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. The post echoed sentiments expressed by Schumer in a Senate speech. DOGE has been leading the charge to expose federal waste, fraud, and abuse.
After Musk implied that he could be profiting from government fraud, Schumer retaliated.
Once again, Elon has lied. In a tweet on Tuesday, Schumer said that Trump is stealing tens of billions of dollars from the government while trying to convince everyone that everyone who challenges him is committing fraud.
Musk responded to Schumer’s article early Tuesday morning, in which the senator implied that Musk is cutting Social Security payouts.
“Let there be no doubt: Elon Musk’s actions at Social Security are reducing benefits,” Schumer stated in a Monday tweet paralleling his address.
“The intern responsible for Schumer’s social media account is not telling the truth,” Musk said on Tuesday on X.
To paraphrase Schumer, “Elon Musk is cutting Social Security benefits.”
“When offices close down, when websites crash, when phone lines shut off, that’s no different than cutting benefits,” stated Senator Schumer.
