Following a “weather-related accident,” Marvel actor Jeremy Renner is in a “critical but stable” condition in the hospital.
According to his spokeswoman, the event took place while the 51-year-old was “ploughing snow,” and he was rushed to the hospital on Sunday as a result.
The representative further stated that Renner is with his family and “getting good treatment.”
Following a report of a severe injury in the vicinity of Mt. Rose Highway near Reno, Nevada, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office investigated.
According to a spokeswoman, Renner was the only one hurt in the event. The spokesperson also stated that the Major Accident Inquiry Team had begun an investigation.
The Reno Gazette-Journal, a local news source, reports that Renner owns a residence in the Reno vicinity close to Lake Tahoe.

Renner, a volunteer fire chief, disclosed last month that he was working on the construction of a fire station in Tahoe when he appeared on the Kelly Clarkson Show.
He told Clarkson, “I’m actually erecting a station at the house in Tahoe since it’s a hot zone for fires.
“The fire departments up there are fairly good, and I work with them.
They are instructing and assisting me, but I still need to spend more time with them.
