U.S. President Jimmy Carter, according to President Trump, could rest easy knowing that he wasn’t the worst president in history, as that honor goes to Joe Biden.
At a joint news conference with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, who was in the US to help negotiate a trade agreement between the US and the EU, Trump made the comments. Meloni was representing European nations during her visit to the White House.
“Worst administration in our country’s history,” Trump declared on Thursday. Not even Jimmy Carter can compare. It was a joyous death for Jimmy Carter. Why do you ask? Reason being, he wasn’t the worst. Vice President Joe Biden was.
Coincident with Trump’s repeated attacks on Biden and his mental health, several publications have detailed Biden’s cognitive function during his presidency. According to a White House insider quoted in the book “Uncharted: How Trump Beat Biden, Harris, and the Odds in the Wildest Campaign in History,” Biden was allowed to “atrophy” due to staff isolation. On April 8, it was made public.
When AWN Digital reached out to Biden’s camp for comment, no one got back to them right away.
Just days before Trump made his remarks, Biden criticized the Trump administration for causing a lot of “damage” in its early days.
In less than a hundred days in office, this government has wreaked havoc and devastation. Speaking in his first public address since leaving the president, Biden expressed his astonishment at the prospect that something so imminent could occur. During a disability advocacy convention in Chicago, Biden gave the address.
Meloni and Trump expressed confidence in the ability of the United States and Europe to negotiate a trade deal on Thursday. Before announcing on April 9 that tariffs will stay at 10% for 90 days to give the US and EU time to negotiate an agreement, Trump revealed duties of 20% on EU products entering the US on April 2.
“I can assure you, there will be a trade deal, 100 percent,” Trump assured reporters. They are eager to strike a deal, and we will strike one, so a trade deal is inevitable. Even if I anticipate it, the price will be reasonable.
