Up in the air. Is this a bird? Is this an airplane? No, it’s the Biden administration’s last shred of credibility on fire in the form of massive, mystery drones over New Jersey.
As President Joe Biden limps out of one of the worst presidencies in American history, these unidentified flying objects, whatever they are, serve as a reminder that the White House’s basic attitude toward the American people has been, “You don’t need to know that.”
We didn’t need to know that the president of the United States was suffering from significant mental decline, or that he was willing to pardon his son Hunter despite vowing never to.
Even in 2021, when unexpected COVID instances among the vaccinated appeared all throughout Washington DC, AWN’s Peter Doocy questioned then-Press Secretary Jen Psaki how many had been found at the White House.
“Why do you need that information?” was her astonishing response.
In other words, you don’t have to know.
For four years, the Biden administration has decided what Americans do and do not need to know, and even in the case of the former, half of the time these people appear to be lying.
Consider how silly it is that aerial objects the size of a minivan are hovering over the Garden State, and the White House claims to have no idea what they are, nor do they appear to be especially interested in them.
Knowing the identify of enormous objects in the sky seemed to be a low hurdle for a president, but this is Joe Biden.
So White House spokesman Admiral John Kirby is brought out to face the cameras and basically say, “We don’t know what the hell these things are, but we’re pretty sure there’s no danger associated with them.”
That doesn’t make logic; if you don’t know what they are, how can you tell if they pose a threat?
Take note that Kirby is telling us this, not Press Secretary Karine Jean Pierre. And, while Kirby is a defense expert, can you picture KJP addressing this subject after being found lying to the American people for a Pinocchio trilogy?
What could she say? “I know I lied about the Hunter pardon and Biden’s mental capacity and whether he would drop out of the election, but this time you should totally trust me, everything is fine, I triple pinky swear?”
The Biden administration enjoys claiming to be the most transparent in history, but I doubt they understand what that term implies, even if it is becoming increasingly easier to see through their lies.
At the moment, we have no idea what these drones are. They may be a teenager’s prank, or a sophisticated Iranian operation involving a ship stationed off the east coast. It would be great to know which.
But, honestly, even if the White House issued an explanation, why should anyone accept it? Why would we believe it was anything other than a falsehood designed to conceal information from us that we did not need to know?
In just over a month, Trump will take over the White House, and he has already stated that if this mystery is not solved by then, he is willing to shoot down one of these drones to find out what it is.
Any human being whose brains have not been confused by Washington DC interagency regulations understands that we should have brought one of these things down days ago. It is just, as Trump would put it, simple sense.
But, even more crucially, if and when such an event occurs, new White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt will have the opportunity to address it with a clean slate, and as long as she does not abuse it, confidence between the White House and the public may be restored.
The question is not what the American people need to know; rather, it is what we deserve to know, and with few exceptions, the response should always be, “Any damn thing we want to.”
Joe Biden was unable to satisfy that vow, which is a major reason why Americans politely rejected him.
