Exclusive: Hunter's Last-Ditch Appeal to Keep Joe in 2024 Race

An excerpt from a new book states that while Joe Biden considered his political future during his 2024 debate, his son Hunter Biden expressed his desire for his father to return to politics.

Hunter expressed his full support for his father’s decision-making process during a phone chat from Los Angeles. “I certainly would love having you back,” he informed him. Hunter implied that his father’s time was completely consumed by his role as president. According to the book excerpt provided by The Wall Street Journal, he frequently expressed his desire for his father to drop his candidacy more than anybody else.

In June, Biden had a horrible debate performance, which led him to withdraw from the 2024 campaign.

Hunter Biden reportedly responded to his father’s gaffes by asking, “What the f—?” while watching the debate from his Los Angeles home, as stated in the extract.

His father had never been so agitated before, and he was concerned about his health. According to the WSJ extract, Hunter informed his father, “I love you” and “Get some sleep,” upon his arrival at Camp David for a visit a few days later.

Authors Jason Dawsey, Tyler Pager, and Isaac Arnsdorf’s new book, “2024: How Trump Retook the White House and the Democrats Lost America,” is scheduled for release on July 8.

The piece from the Wall Street Journal also included details of a phone conversation between the president and his advisors following the July 1, 2024, ruling by the Supreme Court that established substantial immunity for presidents for official acts but not for unofficial ones.

Because of the importance of the decision, the former president felt compelled to offer a response.

In order to prepare Biden’s advisers for the former president’s response, the excerpt states that Biden’s former chief of staff, Jeff Zients, called a meeting.

Out of nowhere, a mysterious voice suggested an address in the Oval Office and popped up on Biden’s screen. Several of the assistants were first confused about the speaker. The White House staff was unaware that Hunter Biden was on the conversation, but it was quickly revealed that he was the one speaking, according to the WSJ piece.

Although White House Counsel Ed Siskel had reservations about Biden addressing the nation from the Oval Office, Biden’s son Hunter intervened, stating that his father had the right to utilize the “powerful imagery” of the room to deliver his answer.

What followed was an excerpt from Siskel’s statement to colleagues that Hunter’s presence was unacceptable.
