FBI Confirms Trump Bullet: What Does It Mean for the Assassination Investigation?

On Tuesday, Paul Abbate, the deputy director of the FBI, stated that there was “no doubt” that former president Donald Trump was assassinated at his rally on July 13 after being shot in the ear.

The Federal Bureau of Investigations has not the slightest doubt that former President Trump was shot in the ear. In response to Sen. John Kennedy’s (R-La.) question on whether Trump had been shot, Abbate stated, “Indeed, there has never been.”

Last week, FBI Director Christopher Wray incited Republican indignation by stating that there were “some” concerns over the nature of the bullet or shrapnel that struck Trump’s ear. Neither the assassination attempt nor Trump’s injuries were contested by Wray on July 13. However, following the remarks, Trump criticized Wray on Truth Social. Several congressional allies of the former president publicly urged Wray to “correct” his words, blaming him of causing misunderstanding.

“What struck former President Trump in the ear was a bullet, whether fragmented into smaller pieces,” the FBI stated in a separate statement on Friday. Even though it was brought up more than two hours into the hearing, it seemed that Kennedy’s speech had appeased GOP wrath.

In addition, Kennedy questioned Abbate on Tuesday about the possibility that a “space laser,” a “murder hornet,” or even a “Sasquatch” struck Trump.
