On a frequent basis, former president Trump claims credit for reversing Roe v. Wade, the landmark decision that outlawed abortion nationwide and led several states to pass restrictive abortion laws. A federal ban on abortion would be vetoed by Trump, who indicated that states should pass their own laws on the matter.
