A producer from “The Apprentice” is asserting that there is footage of former president Donald Trump using the N-word while the show was being filmed.
Trump allegedly used the term to characterize Kwame Jackson, a Black contestant on the inaugural season of “The Apprentice,” which aired in 2004, according to a story published Thursday by Slate by former show producer Bill Pruitt.
This year, according to Pruitt, the nondisclosure agreement he signed—which included a possible fine of $5 million—expired. He also mentioned that he was one of four producers engaged with the show’s first two seasons.
An accusation that has been circulating for years is repeated in his claim. Former “Apprentice” competitor and Trump White House adviser Omarosa Manigault Newman made the accusation while marketing her book in 2018, stating that she had overheard Trump use the derogatory word. AWN has not verified the tape’s existence on its own.
“I don’t have that word in my vocabulary, and never have,” Trump tweeted in response to the accusation at the time.
In an interview with showrunner Jay Bienstock, Trump associate Carolyn Kepcher, and other producers—including Pruitt—Trump allegedly used the phrase while addressing Jackson’s performance, including his handling of Manigault Newman.
The topic of discussion revolved around the winner of the first season of the show.
“Yeah,’ he says to no one in particular, ‘but, I mean, would America buy a n— winning?'”
Plus, Trump “is serious, and he is adamant about not hiring Jackson,” he said.
The show’s winner, Bill Rancic, would defeat Jackson in the end.
“Afterwards, we film the final meeting in the boardroom, where Trump, who, as we already know, favors Rancic, scrutinizes Jackson and Rancic,” Pruitt wrote. After we finish up with production, we’ll pack up and go home. Nothing is revealed regarding the devastating evidence that was recorded in the boardroom or what Trump said there. Nothing transpires.
Pruitt’s accusations were strongly refuted by Trump’s campaign.
“This story was circulated in 2016,” Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung stated. It was dismissed as fake news, therefore no one paid attention to it either. Since Crooked Joe Biden and the Democrats are now down in the race, they are desperate and resorting to bringing up old, false allegations.
According to Pruitt, Trump also made remarks about the appearance of female camera operators. He reportedly compared the appearance of another lady to that of his daughter Ivanka Trump and verbally told a woman to get out of an elevator where she was filming Trump because she was “too heavy,” according to Pruitt.
“There’s a stunning woman behind that camera,” Trump reportedly said, as reported by Pruitt. “I only want to look at that.”
A “long con” based on Trump’s self-assurance, according to Pruitt. In his article, he said that the program helped boost Trump “from sleazy New York tabloid hustler to respectable household name.”
He commented, “Despite his businesses barely surviving multiple bankruptcies and facing yet another when he was cast,” referring to the show’s portrayal of flawless business instincts and unrivaled fortune. “The reality show deliberately misled viewers about Trump’s wealth, stature, character, and intent, setting in motion an American fraud that would grow beyond its makers’ wildest dreams.”
