The governor of New Hampshire asserts that Trump "is not the influence he thinks he is."

There is a case to be made, according to Gov. Chris Sununu of New Hampshire, that former President Donald Trump is “not the impact he believes he is” or even the Republican Party’s front-runner in 2024.

Everyone said “OK” when the former president declared his candidacy for president a week after the election, according to Sununu, who spoke to AWN’s Dana Bash. “At a time when he is most vulnerable politically, he announces his candidacy for president. Right? Although he is acting from a position of weakness and with some ulterior motive, it is only really a blip on the radar.

In the same interview, Sununu made it clear that he did not believe Trump represented the GOP’s future and even suggested that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis might be a more viable candidate for the presidency.

The governor of New Hampshire, in contrast to other Republicans, has not been afraid to criticise Trump. He nevertheless avoids Trump’s well-known counterpunch. Sununu spoke about how he had a simple rapport with Trump and his team from the start of his presidency.

Sununu added, “We made it really plain from the beginning when he became president that look, If he achieves things that deserve credit, I’ll be the first one to step up and give him credit. We had a relationship with the White House. “But I’m going to say it, too, when you have a tone or does anything that I don’t agree with, or when he says or does something I don’t agree with.”
