The Real Story Behind Trump's Fort Knox Gold Questions

A reporter inquired of President Trump, on Wednesday night’s flight return to Washington aboard Air Force One, if Elon Musk would seek Pentagon budget cutbacks.

Anyone who hasn’t been following Musk’s X account for the past few days would find his reaction perplexing.

According to Trump, Musk would be visiting the illustrious American gold reserve repository in Kentucky, Fort Knox.

Why? “To guarantee the presence of the gold,” Trump stated.

Still another journalist appeared perplexed. Then what happened to the gold?

Trump warned, “We’re going to be very upset” if the gold wasn’t present.

Elon Musk, the wealthiest man in the world, has spent days blogging about this problem while flying with the Republican president onboard Air Force One.

He wrote on Monday, “Who is confirming that gold wasn’t stolen from Fort Knox?” according to his statement. “Perhaps it’s present, perhaps it’s absent.”

“Watch it live,” someone said. Two fire emojis were Musk’s response.

The matter might be brought up by Musk and Trump with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.

Wisconsin talk station presenter Dan O’Donnell had already questioned him on Wednesday over the conspiracy notion.

A yearly audit is conducted, according to Bessent. “The gold has been counted and is here.”

The topic has “apparently very concerned” many, according to O’Donnell. “The promise to confirm the gold’s continued presence has been made by Elon Musk.”

If a senator is interested, Bessent said he would be pleased to set up an inspection.
