Trump Lawyers in Talks with Fulton County DA: Surrender Details Revealed…

Trump's Election Year Gambit: Gag Order Appeal's Stress Test

The former president’s attorneys are reportedly in “ongoing negotiations” with the Fulton County District Attorney’s office about the terms of Trump’s surrender, according to two sources cited by AWN.

According to the sources, they have not yet settled on a date for Trump’s surrender.

Trump’s staff has tentatively discussed next week as a possible surrender date, though negotiations are still underway. Trump and his 18 co-defendants were given until August 25 at noon to voluntarily surrender by Democratic Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.

According to a statement released by the Fulton County sheriff on Tuesday, “all 19 defendants,” which includes Trump, are anticipated to surrender to the Fulton County jail.

In contrast to Trump’s prior three criminal cases, his surrender and arraignment in Georgia will take a different form.

Fulton County Sheriff Pat Labat has already indicated that he intends to mugshot and fingerprint these defendants like he would any other defendant. However, Fulton County law enforcement must work with the Secret Service and Trump’s legal team to figure out how to accept the former president’s surrender.

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee has been assigned the landmark case and is anticipated to schedule the initial court appearance for Trump and the other defendants.
