In a post on Truth Social, President Trump praised Republican Senator Steve Daines of Montana, describing him as “a Great Man, and TREMENDOUS Senator.”
“I love Montana, won every one of my Races there by a landslide, and would only recommend the best to represent you in the Senate!” Obama made the announcement.
“Senator Steve Daines, of the Great State of Montana, has my Complete and Total Endorsement — HE WILL NOT LET YOU DOWN!”
Before Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina became chair, Daines was the head of the National Republican Senatorial Committee.
During the last election, Steve and I worked relentlessly as Chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) to elect patriots who were honest, courageous, and knowledgeable about America First. The following issues are being vigorously pursued by Steve in the Senate: reducing taxes, securing the border, ending migrant crime, supporting our military and veterans, restoring peace through strength, unleashing American energy dominance, and defending the Second Amendment, which is always under attack, according to Trump’s post.
After receiving Trump’s endorsement, Daines—who has been a senator since 2015—thanked the president.
“I am very grateful for your unwavering support as we strive to uphold the principles of Montana, strengthen our borders, reduce taxes, and restore greatness to our nation! “Our state and nation will reap the benefits of our combined efforts,” Daines tweeted.
Montana Republican Sen. Tim Sheehy also supported Daines’ bid for reelection.
