Trump's Shocking Walz Insult: "Never Should Have Been on Ticket"

A “sick puppy” according to President Trump, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz was never a good choice to be on the Democratic presidential ticket in 2024.

That person is in terrible health; sad guy. During a meeting with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz on Thursday, Trump expressed his sympathies with Merz from the Oval Office. “But, they made a bad choice with him.”

The president made his remarks in response to a reporter’s question regarding his relationship with Elon Musk, who had previously criticized the “big beautiful bill,” the expansive law that would finance the Trump administration’s agenda and which the president had hailed as crucial legislation that would require GOP unity to pass.

Among Trump’s most important backers throughout the campaign, Musk held rallies in Pennsylvania and the other six of the most important swing states.

Trump made the observation that the Democratic Party missed an opportunity when they selected Walz as running mate for former vice president Kamala Harris instead of Pennsylvania governor Josh Shapiro.

“Elon gave me his whole support. He went so far as to run an ad for me. Personally, I believe I would have come out on top. In his remarks before referring to Walz as a “sick puppy,” Trump said that he would have easily won Pennsylvania regardless of the governor’s choice of “real governor” over his current one.

I had a dreadful conversation with Shapiro not long ago over the tragic fire that destroyed his house, but if you choose someone else, I can help. The fact that Shapiro’s house was burned down in April while his family slept is brought up by him; if they had chosen him, I would have won Pennsylvania,” he said.

August 2024 saw the addition of Walz to the Democratic ticket, following President Joe Biden’s July 2024 withdrawal from the election due to growing worries about his mental acuity, which allowed Harris to take over the ticket. Biden had been running against Harris since July 2024. With Biden’s withdrawal, the Harris campaign had just over a hundred days to mobilize support for the Harris-Walz ticket before the election on November 5.

Walz announced his intention to seek the presidency in 2028 at the occurrence of an appropriate occasion after the election.

In March, when questioned about the possibility of running for president, Walz told the New Yorker, “Well, I had a friend tell me, ‘Never turn down a job you haven’t been offered.'” In reference to a previous interview.

“If I think I could offer something … I would certainly consider that,” answered the man. “I’m also, though, not arrogant enough to believe there’s a lot of people that can do this.”

If the conditions were favorable and he possessed the appropriate “skill set” to run in the 2028 event, he stated, “I’ll do it.”

Then the New Yorker said, “You might do it?”

“No matter the cost,” Walz declared. “I certainly wouldn’t be arrogant enough to think that it needs to be me.”
