Trump’s written response to the committee on January 6 is silent on whether he will abide by the subpoena

Did Trump Ignore National Security Officials' Warnings about Voting Machines?

In a lengthy letter to the committee published on Truth Social on Friday, former president Donald Trump did not state if he will abide by the subpoena issued by the House select committee looking into the January 6, 2021, Capitol Hill uprising.

The former President reiterates his false allegations that the 2020 election was rigged in a letter to committee chairman Democratic Rep. Bennie Thompson of Mississippi. He contends that the committee should have instead investigated into these allegations.

The House select committee decided to summon Trump on Thursday during what is anticipated to be the last public meeting prior to the November elections.

To find out whether Trump will abide by the subpoena, AWN contacted his representatives.

AWN has also contacted the committee to get a reaction to Trump’s remarks.

Trump accuses House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and DC Mayor Muriel Bowser of failing to use the National Guard. The speaker of the House is not in control of Capitol security, as AWN has previously documented. The Capitol Police Board, which is in charge of managing the US Capitol Police and approving requests for support from the National Guard, is accountable for that.

The former president also attached a number of documents to the letter, including a list of purported election-related difficulties in several states and aerial photographs of the attendees at the event on January 6, 2021.

Pelosi and other cross-party politicians are shown scurrying to activate the National Guard as rioters attack the Capitol in fresh exclusive video from January 6 that was given to AWN.
