Who is the Mystery Lawyer Trump Has Chosen To Defend Himself Against Indictment?

Todd White, a prominent white-collar criminal defence lawyer and former federal prosecutor, has been appointed as the former president’s primary counsel to handle the Manhattan district attorney’s criminal prosecution.

Blanche, who was a partner at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft until recently, resigned from the firm in an email obtained by AWN because “I have been asked to represent Trump in the recently charged DA case, and after much thought/consideration, I have decided it is the best thing for me to do and an opportunity I should not pass up.”

Blanche refused to comment on Monday.

Blanche, a former assistant US attorney in the Manhattan U.S. attorney’s office, previously defended Trump friend Paul Manafort as well as Igor Fruman, a former Rudy Giuliani aide who pleaded guilty in a campaign financing prosecution brought by the Manhattan U.S. attorney’s office.
